How to create a seamless animal pattern in Procreate

In this tutorial, I walk you through a technique I use to create seamless patterns in Procreate.

The technique I’ll be showing you is for me personally much easier to what most people use. It uses steps and a layout that’s similar to making patterns in Adobe Illustrator.

I find it easier to visualise the end result with this method.

But before we dive into that, I’ll quickly run through some basic pattern design terminology and aspects to think about before you start designing your pattern in Procreate.

I used cute little foxes for this design, similar to the one I created in the tutorial.

The brushsets I used is a combination of The Nitty Gritty Brushbox as well as the Cute Art Creator to create the hero motifs and the additional supporting elements.
