When to ask for help
As much as I’m a fan of learning the ins-and-outs of my website, sometimes it makes more sense to pay someone to do a task for me.
If the task is going to take a week to figure out, it makes more business sense to pay someone who can complete it in a few hours.
Learning how to apply changes or fix minor issues on your own website is something I highly encourage! However, spending weeks trying to figure out a technical issue yourself that takes the skills of an expert to resolve, isn’t the best way to spend your time as an entrepreneur – unless you’re wanting to become the next best web developer!
Dear Lisa,
Thank you for this course! I’m currently somewhere around phase three. I used to have a Shopify shop, but the fees were quite high. I have a website, though it doesn’t have a shop at the moment—it’s set up to host one if I decide to add it. I also have a marketplace shop on Etsy.
However, I keep running into the same challenge: how do I get customers to find me? Blogging isn’t really my thing, and Pinterest has never worked for me either. I’d love to see an article about art marketing—any insights would be much appreciated!
Hi Tina, I understand how you feel about blogging and putting yourself out there. But that’s essentially the only way people will find you. Creating content people want to read or access, whether it’s a blog post, a helpful pin on Pinterest, or a tutorial video on Youtube is your best marketing tool by far! You need to attract your ideal customer by providing content they are attracted to. Hope that helps!
