The user-friendly nature of the platform

If you’re not tech-savvy and feel overwhelmed by the idea of web design and doing a little coding yourself, you need to take that into account.

You may need to choose a platform based on how easy it is to use.

But if you’ve got a bit of experience or you’re willing to learn, you can use that to your advantage when choosing.

Some platforms come with amazing pre-designed shop and website templates, which is great for getting up and running. But often there are limitations to creating something unique (unless you hire a web developer to apply custom code).

While other platforms are very versatile, allowing you to design a completely unique website.

You’ll have to assess what’s more important to you given your skill set: complete flexibility which is more hands-on, or user-friendly templates but might look too generic.
