Hi Lisa, I bought the Nitty Gritty pack, but it only works in Procreate. Do you think you’ll make these wonderfull brushes for use in Photoshop? That would be awesome. Hi Lisa, I really like your brush! By the way, do you have any video tutorial for using this brush set? I already watched two bear videos but I still have trouble with drawing white deer and rabbit. Or could you tell me which brush you used for drawing white deer? I tried smeary grain brush but it doesn’t feel quite right though.

Hi Jay, So glad you’re enjoying the brushes! Here’s a link to all the tutorials available for the Nitty Gritty pack. I don’t unfortunately have one for the deer. But essentially I followed very similar steps to the bear tutorial. I started with a dark brown under the deer, then used the Smeary Grain on top using a light cream. To add more texture on top of that I used the Light Grain brush in a grey shade to create the shadow effect, then blush for the cheeks etc. Aim to create depth by layering the texture brushes. Experiment with shade variations to get interesting results. Hope that helps! If you have any other questions at all, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

I bought the Nitty Gritty Brushbox today and I just can’t figure out why I didn’t buy it earlier? This is exactly what I needed. I had been putting too much pressure on myself. Hi Lisa, I bought your nitty-gritty Brush-box this month, I saw the included have 13 x Hand-crafted Seamless Patterns, I downloaded to used but I only saw 10 Seamless Patterns brush, I want to know there is 50 brushes or 53 brushes? Thank you for your answer

Awww!! I really wish I could create them for PS. But unfortunately the brush engines are so different and I can’t seem to get the same great results in PS – the dual brushes in Procreate are quite a bit more sophisticated than PS unfortunately so the results in PS are not the same. So sorry about that!

Frankly, this set of brushes pushed me to buy the set itself, and even to buy an apple pencil (I already have a tablet for a long time). Although for me, as a beginner, mastering this technique is difficult and slow (and sometimes very painful ), I really like your results, and sometimes (much less often ) my own. However, I caught myself thinking that those two tutorial videos are not enough for me to master the technique and “feel” how to apply it on any new shapes and different situations. Sometimes the quality of the video was not enough to understand how the strokes look on your tablet, they were so different from what I got using the same brushes. Maybe you could share some more illustrations and timelapses (better quality than on this page ) perhaps with example use cases of certain brushes to make it clear (for dummies like me ) how to achieve different effects.

Hi Dmitry! Super happy you took the plunge to buy and Apple pencil, it really does make a huge difference in the pressure control and results.
In terms of you seeing different results, it could be your canvas is a different size to mine. I always prefer working on a large canvas, at least 3800px x 4900px for example. If you’re using a much smaller canvas, the results will look different as Procreate is a raster based app and the canvas pixels size has a direct effect on the results and quality.
If you’re new to digital drawing, it does take some time to get use to the feel of the pencil and drawing on screen, but the more often you practice the quicker you’ll master it

So glad you like them Joline! Sadly I’ve been trying to convert them to Adobe Photoshop with no success. The results are really not up to the same standard as the Procreate brushes. The big difference is the brush engine’s dual brush functionalities are so different and unfortunately Adobe Photoshop is giving rather poor results. I will however keep experimenting!

I’d love to make the Magical Scene Creator available for Procreate but unfortunately the app’s layers are quite restrictive when it comes to high-res artwork.
